چکیده
Background Tibia fractures are the most common lower extremity fractures. The subcutaneous anatomy of this long bone predisposes it to high fracture frequency in a high-energy trauma. tibia is major weight-bearing, tubular that axially and rotationally unstable when fractured, which ideally necessitates its surgical fixation adults. can be treated with variety choice implants approaches. This study aims assess clinical functional outcomes intramedullary interlocking nails by suprapatellar approach. Methodology A total 32 patients were selected from admitted at Shri B. M. Patil Medical College Research Centre between January 2021 May 2022. All closed reduction internal approach semi-extended knee position. followed up clinically radiologically regular intervals six weeks, three months, one year. assessed based on modified Lysholm scores. Results 31 showed union site. One patient had nonunion implant failure distal locking site, two persistent anterior pain end Functional outcome assessment scores excellent results, mean score 95. Patients for 11.5 months. time was observed as 12.5 Conclusions Suprapatellar nailing an effective alternative ease decreased intraoperative fluoroscopy time. entry line medullary cavity preventing malreduction proximal additional option also increases stability fixation.

Fractures of the Proximal Third Tibia Treated With Intramedullary Interlocking Nails and Blocking Screws
Proximal tibial fractures considered a more challenging injury. The goals of treating these fractures are: achieving bony union, restoring soft tissue vitality, preventing infection and instituting early joint motion and muscle rehabilitation [1]. A wide variety of nonsurgical and surgical methods of treatment are available. They can be used in isolation or in interesting combinations involving...
متن کاملDistal third tibia fractures treated with interlocking intramedullary nail
The management of extraarticular fracture of the distal tibia remains controversial. Surgeons are not very keen on using intramedullary interlocking nail for these fractures because of diffi cult nail fi xation, wider medullary canal in the distal tibia and late angulation .The advent of newer nails with locking holes in the distal parts has made nailing possible even in cases of distal tibia f...

Complex Fractures of the Tibia and Femur Treated with Static Interlocking Intramedullary Nail
BACKGROUND Reamed interlocking intramedullary nailing is considered the gold standard treatment for complex fractures of the femoral and tibial shaft. There has been some controversies about dynamization of statically locked nails, and some authors recommended routine dynamization for promotion of healing. This study aims to evaluate treatment of complex fractures in tibia and femur with static...
متن کاملAnatomical Study on the Lateral Suprapatellar Access Route for Locked Intramedullary Nails in Tibial Fractures
OBJECTIVE Intramedullary nails are the gold standard for treating tibial shaft fractures. Knee pain is a frequent complication after the procedure. Alternative routes such as the suprapatellar approach for nail insertion are seen as an option for avoiding late postoperative knee pain. The question is whether this approach might give rise to any injury to intra-articular structures of the knee. ...
